Monolith Interactive Textile Sculpture. Jardins Efémeros 2017. Flag Hotel Convento do Desagravo 2021. The Monolith is a monumental, sensorial and interactive piece. A natural wool rock, which is both hard and soft. That feels the approach and the gaze and calls with a low-frequency purr. When touched, the Monolith wakes up and emits sounds produced by an expert in meditative music and sound medicines. Accordingly, it lights up from the inside in a coordinated way with the sounds and transforms into warm rock, made of amber and comfort, in an attitude of attunement and reward with the human who touches it. This piece also represents a continuing interest in technology integration and exploring the possibilities of physical computing and conceptualized interactivity.

Materials/Technique- Natural wool from local producers, handcrafted and felted manually using traditional techniques.
Box structure and wooden base. Carpentry.
Miscellaneous electronic components; Raspberry Pi, 2x speakers, 1 programmable LED spotlight. Drums
