Diptych piece, Collective exhibition, JanelaADentro. Porto, 2020.
Wool, hand felted and sculpted, wire, Perspex.

Wasan Vanities are a return to a basic shape, the sphere. Based on Japanese visual math, this piece is a calculation exercise. It is an always waning exercise as it is worked upon an organic element, felted wool balls. Calculated in both X, Y and Z dimension in search for the globe's expansion concerning its place in space. Producing a sense of anticipation and depth. Suspense in each curve, finding beauty not in the thing itself but in the patterns, the shades and the light one thing makes in contrast to the other.
