Be Like Water II Charting ripples across it's surface like topographies shaped by time, wind, and fluid memory. I want these pieces to draw from the Taoist concept of water as a quiet yet powerful force—adaptive, yellding and transformative, I experimenting with crafting a tactile landscape that resists fixity and invites contemplation as it reminds us that resilience is often found in the capacity to flow, not resist. This language has been a delightful discovery and exploration, if you know my work you've probably perceived that I'm in constant search of shape, meaning and technique. Much of my work is very visceral, tactile and fleshy with a strong animal palette. For these pieces I'm playing with soft hues and subtle cues, so these pieces demand attention, commitment and observation to feel beyond the surface. They are not just beautiful things to put on a wall, they are crafted organisms that will speak to you, if you let them.
